Looks like it will need significant quantities of paint. I got the only photoetch pack I could find and the wood deck. Plus a set of turned barrels for the main and secondaries - which might I add javascrit a pain to fit, but worth it for the look of the thing. I'll try and break the good camera out later for some decent update shots of how's the ship is coming along, because mobile cameras still suck.
As for paint, actually not that much as I'm airbrushing a lot and you can cover quite a lot with not very much, lots of different paints and weathering pigments. I'm actually painting it slightly darker than required to give it a more menacing look I've actually got a Tirpitz lined up to do after Bismarck, more extensive photoetch replacements and plastic model ship building forum javascript work to get the look and feel right.
